Purpose:

 

To provide clarification of the insurance required by the Logan County Soccer Club.

 

Policy:

 

It is the policy of Logan County Soccer Club to adhere to the policy of Oklahoma Soccer Association (OSA) that all players, coaches, and referees signed up through LCSC/OSA be covered by insurance.

 

Covered places:

 

Ø      Games, scrimmages, and practices at OSA recognized facilities

 

Ø      Practices that take place on public property

 

Ø      Practices on semi-private property (i.e. a church field) are covered if written permission has been given and a copy of the permission is on file at LCSC.

 

Non-covered places:

 

Ø      Practices that take place on private property (i.e. at the home of a player).  It is the responsibility of the owner of the private property to provide coverage.

 

Ø      Practices that involve players and others not signed up through LCSC/OSA will not be covered by the insurance provided via registration.  This will invalidate the insurance for all players and coaches participating in a practice with non-registered players/persons.

 

Ø      Any area that has been deemed off limits by LCSC or OSA.

Procedure:

 

When signing up to play on a club team from the LCSC, the sign up includes insurance.  Any non-player or coach with an EMPLOYMENT/VOLUNTEER DISCLOSURE STATEMENT will be covered.

 

For questions of insurance coverage, contact the Secretary/Treasurer of LCSC.

 

Any Coach that allows non-member players to practice/play with his/her team will forfeit insurance coverage through the club.
